Staff additions strengthen AHEAD's efforts
AHEAD Energy continues to expand in their Marietta, Ohio location. Housed on the campus of Marietta College since August 2010, the nonprofit is attracting a host of new staff and volunteers who want to contribute to their time and talent to make energy more accessible and efficient in Africa.
“We are pleased to have so many professionals joining the AHEAD Energy team,” said MJ Ebenhack, President and CEO of AHEAD Energy. “Their efforts will advance our mission to make life-enhancing energy available to African school and medical clinics in an economically-sustainable, environmentally-conscientious manner.”
Among the staff additions are Joy Lutes who serves as Marketing and Communications Director; Kate Grimm as Local Outreach Coordinator; Deb Hutchison serving as the organization’s Bookkeeper and Financial Data Analyst; and Doug Briller who is working in Kenya as a Technical Field Staffer. Maria McQueen worked as Organizational and Program Development Assistant for two months before finding full-time employment.
AHEAD is also tapping into student resources at Marietta College. Students are redesigning the AHEAD website, increasing their social media efforts, assisting with fundraising efforts, and serving on the Marietta Action Team.
“We are delighted to be in Marietta and are excited to see where these new staff members and students take us,” expressed Ebenhack.
